Shipping policy

Shipping

Every item is packed by hand, individually, with care appropriate to its age and value. Because each piece is unique and often fragile, we do not rush this — books are wrapped to protect boards, corners, and spine, and boxed rather than enveloped.

Processing. Orders are typically packed and dispatched within 2–3 business days. As a single-proprietor business, occasionally this takes a little longer; if there will be any delay with your item, we will tell you.

Domestic (United States). Items ship via USPS, fully insured for the purchase price, with tracking provided. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Higher-value items are shipped with signature confirmation.

International. We ship worldwide. International orders are sent fully insured and tracked; rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, or fees levied by the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the shipping cost. Delivery times vary with the destination and its customs handling.

Insurance and packing. All items are insured in transit. In the rare event an item is damaged in shipping, contact us immediately at uncial.admin@gmail.com with photographs of the item and its packaging so we can resolve it with you and the carrier.

High-value items. For particularly valuable or delicate pieces, we may contact you to arrange a shipping method suited to the item — including additional insurance or a signature requirement. We would rather take an extra day than risk the object.

Local collection. Local pickup or hand-delivery can sometimes be arranged for buyers in the Denver area, or when purchases exceed a certain price. Contact us to ask.
